Old vynil records, if not scratched, can be cleaned to sound almost like new.
Instructions
1. Fill your kitchen sink with warm (not hot)water.
2. Add sufficient dish detergent (I prefer Ajax anti-bacterial)to change the color of the water.
3. Put record or records you wish to clean in this solution.
4. Let stand for at least an hour but the longer the better.
5. Rinse unter tap until all detergent residue is flushed out.
6. Let air dry until just slightly wet (you ca still see some water drops on record) then dry with cotton towel.
7. Let air dry for another 30 minutes.
8. Take cotton tower and spray some 2001 Vynil Protectant on a corner.
9. Clean record with 2001 IN A CIRCULAR MOTION, making sure to cover the entire area.
10. Let dry.
11. With clean cotton towel, remove all 2001 until record shines.
Tips Warnings
Before each playing of your record, you should clean all groves, in circular motion, with a VERY SOFT brush.
Do not play record if it is still wet or damp.
