GE Triton XL are built-in dishwashers that blend seamlessly with any cabinetry. Packed with at least four dishwashing cycles, they wash and dry a variety of items including pots, pans and dishwasher-safe plastics. It's important to load your dishwasher properly, so dishes will be cleaned and dried efficiently. A washer that isn't loaded properly may not only yield unsatisfactory cleaning results. It may also damage the washer arms and other key components.
Instructions
1. Open your GE Triton XL dishwasher's door, and then pull out the upper rack.
2. Arrange glasses and cups along the sides. Arrange dishwasher-safe plastics along the sides as well. Push in the tabs on the upper rack to lower the rack. This adds flexibility in your loading. Additionally, load pots and pans in this rack for effective cleaning. Space them out to allow efficient washing and drying. Don't allow items to protrude through the bottom of the rack and block rotation of the middle spray arm.
3. Load glasses in the wineglass holder if your Triton XL washer includes this compartment. This feature is only available in some models. Once the glasses are loaded, push in the wineglass holder to make sure they will clear the top of the dishwasher.
4. Load plates in the lower rack in the plate compartment. Load large platters, pots and bowls along the sides, in corners or in the back. Make sure the soiled side of items faces the center of the rack. Don't let any portion of pot or pan handles extend through the bottom rack. Not only can this block or damage the wash arm; it may also cause unsatisfactory washing results.
5. Load silverware in the silverware basket on the right side of the lower rack. Push the adjustable handle on either side if you want to load flatware. Load flatware in the basket with knife handles up to protect your hands. Place spoons with handles down. Mix your silverware together. Don't let any items extend through the bottom of the silverware basket.
6. Add your dish cleaning detergent and rinse aid into their compartments, close the door and then select the washing cycle you want to use.
