Make Impossible Hamburger Pie

If you need a simple but filling meal that is a little different, "Impossible Hamburger Pie" might be the answer. This is a pretty simple and quick recipe that serves 6. It is also a good dish to prepare for a dinner party.

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9-by-11 pie pan with non-stick cooking spray.

2. Put the ground beef and onion into the frying pan and cook them over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the meat is brown. Drain the meat and onions, then add the salt. Spread the beef into the greased pie pan.

3. Combine the baking product, milk and eggs in a large mixing bowl. Stir it with a fork until it blends into a soft dough.

4. Pour the mixture evenly into the pie plate over the beef and onion. Bake the pie for 25 minutes.

5. Remove the pie from the oven. Add the diced tomatoes, and sprinkle cheddar cheese, if desired, over the top. Return the pie to the oven and bake it for another 10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pie comes out clean.

6. Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving it.
