Honeywell Total Connect and iPhone App!
Any idea what a typical total connect subscription cost is? Looks like I'd need a Vista ICM as well. Can anyone comment on this service with the new iPhone App yet? We charge $35-$45 per month for this service with 24 hour alarm monitoring. We utilize the 7845GSM and 7845iGSM to allow for this service. The iPhone app is free The Vista-ICM is a seperate device and it's own animal. Oh, so TC operates over the gsm module only??! I guess I assumed it used the ICM. I read that ICM only good for IE browsers, so I guess I couldnt use the iphone for that, even with the internal browser. I think the only workaround owuld be to vnc to a home computer and use a IE browser, but thats so hoakey, might as well not do it. Can you elaborate on your service fees? here, the base service is $25, then $11 more for GSM. Do you actually charge for the Total connect service above the additianal GSM base price? Do you guys think we'll see an iPhone app that uses the ICM module as the connection method? We charge $15 per month for cellular monitoring (primary or backup) and Total Connect. $5 is for the Total Connect portion. Total Connect works through the AlarmNet GSM/iGSM. The iphone app is extremely cool, you get a full viirtual keypad. I myself, use the Blackberry application. The company I work for does offer service in NJ, however, advertising is not allowed. PM me if you have any questions. Is there a similar App available for the HTC Touch Pro 2? There is not an app made specifically for the HTC touch pro 2, however, there is a generic windows mobile device app that works. Using Google to find an app like that is next to impossible. Does yours have a name? As a Total Connect user, you download the app under the configure mobile tab. You program your phone number and security code, then select your phone model and Total Connect sends the app to your phone in a text message. I don't want to have the system monitored for Police. I just want to be notified by email or my Iphone. I am looking to get the cheapest price. I have everything Installed. If you need my equipment let me know. Jim I like the price 20.00 per month 15+5 but like I said this post of yours is old. That is on top of monitoring. To my knowledge, nobody is offering a Self-Monitor option. Google IPBAT for Honeywell that solution may fit the bill for you.
