A new set of golf clubs falls nicely into the iron category.
Congratulations! You've been married almost six years! Now it's time to purchase an anniversary gift for your husband. You can follow the traditional gift ideas and get something made of iron or candy, or go with the more modern approach with something made of wood. You can also be a non-traditionalist and eschew the rules and just purchase something you know he will love.
Iron
If your husband loves to play golf, get him a new set of golf clubs. If he already has a set he loves, you can purchase several rounds of golf at the local course or a few sessions with a personal golf trainer. This will give him hours of enjoyment while he also improves his golf game.
You can also purchase a small piece of artistic sculpture for his office; brighten up the room with an iron piece he can set on his desk, in the corner of the office or on the wall.
Candy
Candy is another traditional gift for the 6th anniversary. A box of chocolates is the perfect way to celebrate an anniversary. There are many different types of chocolate to choose from; dark, milk or filled chocolate. Go to a specialty chocolate shop and purchase several different types of chocolate; organic, chili, fruit or coffee flavored or chocolate in different colors.
Wood
The more modern gift for the 6th anniversary gift is made of wood. Desk clocks or other desk accessories would really dress up his desk at work. Different manufacturers even make wooden watches, if you want something classy yet understated. If you know that he wants to build something at home, go ahead and get him a gift card to a home improvement store so he can purchase his own lumber.
Anything Goes
Of course, you don't have to get anything from these three categories. If your husband has been looking at a particular movie or electronic gaming system game, go ahead and purchase it. If he loves to do adventure sports, purchase sky diving or scuba diving lessons. Whatever you get, he will know that you love and care for him.
