Keep Rolls Fresh

Rolls maintain their flavor and texture only when they are fresh. A suitable amount of humidity and a good storage area are needed to keep the rolls tasting like they have just been baked. Below are some steps to keep your rolls fresh.

Instructions

1. Place the bakery fresh rolls directly in the freezer if you plan to use them the next day. Keep them in the original packaging. Before eating, remove the rolls from the freezer and let them thaw at room temperature for at least 1 hour. Wrap the thawed rolls in aluminum foil and warm them in the oven to get fresh, warm rolls.

2. Store the rolls in the freezer for a longer period of time. Place the rolls in an airtight glass container or plastic storage bag. Squeeze all the air from the plastic bag, otherwise the rolls will go stale and get freezer burns. Do not keep the rolls in the freezer longer than 1 month.

3. Keep rolls fresh for a few hours. Place the rolls in a greased baking pan. Cover with cling wrap so that outside moisture won't seep in. Keep the rolls at room temperature and use within the next few hours.

4. Don't touch the rolls with wet hands. This can cause mold on the surface under humid conditions.
