Make Turkey Stew

Turkey stew warms you up from the inside out. It's more of a meal than just soup. Nothing tastes better when you want a tasty filling meal than a bowl of hot turkey stew. Best of all, it's cheap and easy to make. Follow these steps to make turkey stew.

Instructions

1. Cook a turkey or turkey pieces in an oven until done or start with already cooked turkey. Remove most of the meat from the bones and set the meat aside.

2. Place the bones in a pot. Cover with water and boil for one hour on the stove. Remove bones from pot and let cool. Keep the water which is now your turkey broth. Strain broth.

3. Remove all meat from the bones and add the meat to the broth. Discard bones.

4. Cut up two or three large carrots and one or two pieces of celery. Chop up one onion into small pieces. Chop two potatoes into cubes. Add all the vegetables to the pot.

5. Add powdered chicken soup mix to taste. Add one teaspoon of garlic powder. Add salt and pepper to taste.

6. Remove some broth from the pot and let it cool slightly. Add two or three tablespoons of flour to the cooled broth. Mix well and return to pot. Adding flour to cooled broth stops it from becoming lumpy.

7. Simmer on low heat until vegetables are tender and stew is thick. Serve with fresh bread or bread sticks.
