Make A Lemon Iced Tea

There is nothing more refreshing on a hot summer day than a cool glass of sun-steeped lemon iced tea; however, without practice making the perfect blend can take some practice. If you want to cut to the chase this summer, brewing up a batch of lemon iced sun tea is a snap.

Instructions

1. Fill a 2-qt. glass jar with clean water and then place 4 or 5 bags of your favorite tea into the jar. Drape the tea bag strings over the mouth of the jar and hold onto the tabs as you screw down the lid, holding the bags to float in the water.

2. Place the jar in a location where the sun hits the glass directly. Move the jar occasionally while brewing your lemon iced tea so that it stays in the sun. After about 5 hours, the water should have darkened to the perfect strength.

3. Scrub 2 ripe lemons and then slice them, peel and all, as thinly as possible. Remove as many seeds as you can without losing too much juice.

4. Remove the tea bags from the jar and add any sweetener if you like, as well as your lemon slices. Place the jar in the refrigerator until the tea has chilled. Serve the tea over ice cubes and enjoy your refreshing lemon iced tea.
