Cook The Best Shrimp Scampi

If you are looking to cook something for a special occasion, try making homemade shrimp scampi. Shrimp scampi is a butter- and herb-infused seafood meal that can be served alone as an appetizer or served over pasta as an entree. Instead of paying restaurant prices for a single serving, make your own restaurant-quality shrimp scampi for the entire family.

Instructions

1. Remove the shell and tails from 1 lb. of medium-size shrimp.

2. Place four cloves minced garlic and 1/2 cup butter into a large skillet. Mix them together using a mixing spoon.

3. Place the skillet on a stove top using a medium setting.

4. Add juice from 1 lemon and 1/2 cup dry white wine into the skillet.

5. Add 1 tsp. cayenne pepper, 2 tbsp. parsley and 2 tbsp. oregano to the skillet. Mix all of the ingredients using a mixing spoon.

6. Place the skillet in a broiler oven and cook for three to five minutes.

7. Use a pair of oven mitts to remove the skillet from the oven.

8. Serve over pasta and garnish with Parmesan cheese.
