Grilling smoked sausage enhances its flavor.
Kielbasa, also called Polish sausage, is a variety of smoked sausage made from pork with spices and garlic added to it. This sausage is always sold precooked. The smokey, garlicky flavor of the kielbasa is enhanced by grilling the sausage. Using a medium heat to cook the sausages prevents them from cooking too quickly and bursting. Next time you barbecue, throw a couple of smoked kielbasa sausages on the grill for a more flavorful alternative to chicken and steak.
Instructions
1. Remove the cover from a gas or charcoal grill.
2. Preheat a gas grill to high heat, or light a pile of charcoal.
3. Decrease a gas grill's heat to medium, or wait until you can hold your hand 5 inches above charcoals for only 3 to 4 seconds.
4. Lay the kielbasa on the grates and replace the grill cover.
5. Cook the sausages for 2 minutes per side or until heated through. Turn and remove the sausages from the grill with tongs to avoid spilling the juices from the meat onto the grill.
