Give packets of Russian Friendship Tea as gifts during the holidays.
Handmade holiday gifts are well received by friends and family because they indicate a higher level of consideration than running to the store and picking something off the shelf. With a few mugs, some recipe cards and Russian Friendship Tea mix, you can prepare a thoughtful, inexpensive gift.
Instructions
1. On six recipe cards, add your personal variant of the following instructions:
Stir two to three teaspoons of tea into eight ounces of boiling water.
2. Combine orange drink mix, lemonade mix, instant tea, sugar, cloves and cinnamon into a medium-sized mixing bowl. Stir until you evenly distribute all ingredients.
3. Use the measuring cup to pour 1/2 cup of the tea mix into decorative snack-size baggies. Seal the baggie firmly, then put one baggie into each of the holiday coffee mugs. Place a recipe card on top of the baggie.
4. Cut a piece of cellophane 6 by 12 inches. Place a cup in the center of the cellophane, then pull the edges up and around the mug. Tie a ribbon tightly around the top of the mug, letting excess cellophane bunch out.
