Make A Party Nacho Platter

Are you throwing a party and need an easy and excellent appetizer for your guests? Don't worry we have the recipe for you. You will learn make the perfect nacho party platter that your guests will love and is easy to make. Anybody can make this dish and you can make it in a matter of minutes.

Instructions

1. Start by buying your favorite tortilla chips. Yellow corn tortilla chips are the best for nachos because they don’t get as soggy as other chips. Buy some of your favorite chili with beans or you can make some homemade chili if you like. You will also need to buy cheese. Buy two different types of cheese. I prefer Velveeta and shredded cheddar cheese or Monterey Jack cheese. You will also need sliced black olives and sour cream as well as salsa.

2. Take a baking sheet and cover it in wrinkled tin foil. Spread your tortilla chips over the entire baking sheet one layer thick. Heat your chili on the stove and add the Velveeta cheese to the chili as it begins to get hot. Allow the chili and Velveeta to cook until all of the Velveeta is melted.

3. Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees. Pour the chili and Velveeta cheese mix evenly across the top of the tortilla chips that you put on the baking sheet. Sprinkle your shredded cheese on the top of the chili/Velveeta mix. Place the baking sheet with all of the fixings into the pre-heated oven.

4. Bake the nachos on the baking sheet for about 5 to 7 minutes. After removing the baking sheet from the oven, pick up the nachos from the baking sheet, using the corners of the foil to do so. Place or slide your nachos with the foil onto a big platter. Leave the nachos on the foil so that you do not mess up the beautiful golden crust that developed on the top of the nachos.

5. Take your salsa and put about six small dollops on the top of the nachos. Put about six dollops of sour cream next to the dollops of salsa. Now spread your sliced black olives over the top of that, and you have a great nacho party platter ready to serve at your party. Do not allow the nachos to sit for too long before you serve them or the cheese will start to solidify.

6. If you are a person that likes extra hot dishes and want some more spice on the nachos, then put some sliced jalapeño peppers on the top of the nachos before you put them in the oven so that the jalapeños have a chance to cook and release some of its oils into the nachos. Or just use your favorite hot sauce and splash some onto your nachos wherever you want and as much as you want.
