Remove A Scratch From Sun Glasses

Restore your scratched sunglasses by removing the scratches.

The lenses that are contained in a pair of sunglasses are usually made of plastic, which means that they are vulnerable to things such as scratches. These scratches could manifest through carelessness, accidents or simple wear and tear. Sunglasses can be a very expensive item, so it is advisable to try to repair any scratches found in the lenses than to dump them in the trash bin. Restore your sunglasses to a new state by removing the scratches found.

Instructions

1. Rinse your sunglasses with a warm soap water to remove any accumulated dirt or excess debris. Blot the sunglasses with a paper towel until dry.

2. Put on a pair of rubber gloves to protect your hands and skin from chemicals. Ensure that you are in a well ventilated area before proceeding to the next steps.

3. Apply some Armour Etch on a cotton swab.

4. Smear the Armour Etch on the scratched portion of the sunglasses lens; spread it evenly. Allow the Armour Etch to sit in for about five minutes.

5. Rinse the sunglasses with hot water to remove all traces of the Armour Etch. Repeat until fully removed.

6. Rinse the sunglasses with warm soap water. Rinse them off again with clear hot water to remove the soap.

7. Allow the sunglasses to air dry.

8. Polish the sunglasses with a cloth specifically for eyewear.
