Crisp Tortilla Chips

Reheat stale chips in the oven to make them taste fresh.

One problem with large bags of tortilla chips is that it can be hard to seal the bag properly and prevent the chips from going stale. Most people do not like to eat stale tortilla chips, and so they end up getting thrown away. You can eliminate this waste by reheating the chips to restore crispiness and texture to the chips. Reheating the chips takes just a few minutes, and the chips will taste as good as new, or maybe even better.

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to about 500 degrees Fahrenheit. While the oven is heating, spread the chips out onto a cookie sheet in an even layer. Don't overlap the chips or they may cook unevenly.

2. Place the chips in the oven. Turn on the oven light to watch the chips. They will brown quickly and you will need to watch them so that they do not burn.

3. Heat the chips in the oven for about three minutes, or until they start to turn a golden brown. Remove the chips promptly and serve immediately.
