Canned tuna is a wonderful snack that is certainly healthy when compared to many of the other snacks on the market. If you are a fan of tuna, here is a way to spice up that canned tuna and make it a snack to remember.
Instructions
1. Open the canned tuna and drain out all the juices. Take the canned tuna, put it in a small strainer, and run it under cool water. This will clean out the canned tuna. Move the tuna to a small mixing bowl.
2. Add the salt and pepper to the tuna as well as 1 tbsp. of mayonnaise per can of tuna. Salt and pepper is optional and should be done based on taste. Many people leave out the salt for health purposes. Mix the tuna and mayonnaise up well in the mixing bowl.
3. Kick up the mixture with hot sauce and relish. After you have properly mixed up the tuna and mayonnaise, add 1 tbsp. of hot sauce per can. If you like your food on the spicy side, then add a bit more. This will give the canned tuna a bit of a Wasabi flavor. Add in relish to offset the spice if necessary.
4. Finish off your kicked-up canned tuna with 1 tsp. of hot mustard for a final secret flavor. This mustard gives the tuna a wonderful taste and is the most integral part of the recipe. The canned tuna is also good with hot mustard and no hot sauce if the spice is too much for you.
5. Serve your kicked-up canned tuna as a great spread or sandwich at your next party. This is sure to be a big hit as any dish that keeps the healthy aspect is popular.
