Season Popcorn For A Party

Party guests can bond over a bowl of seasoned popcorn.

Popcorn is a delicious and easy-to-prepare party snack that most guests will love. Whether you have an air-popper or are making the treats the old-fashioned way in a pot over the stove, freshly popped popcorn makes an inexpensive party appetizer. Guests can easily fill a bowl with popcorn and mix and mingle while munching. If you're entertaining a large crowd, set out several bowls filled with popcorn featuring a variety of flavors. Use different popcorn seasonings to please all of the party-goers.

Instructions

1. Make 12 to 16 cups of popcorn in a pan over a stove or in an air-popper and place it into a large bowl.

2. Melt 1/2 to 1 cup of margarine or butter in a pan on the stove or in bowl in a microwave.

3. Add flavor enhancers and seasonings to the butter or margarine as it is melting. Saute three red chili peppers in 7 tbsp. of butter or margarine if you prefer a spicy flavor. Sprinkle 1 tsp. each of paprika and cheddar cheese-flavored salt, along with 1/2 cup of garlic powder to 1/2 cup of melted butter or margarine for robust-tasting popcorn.

4. Pour the melted, seasoned butter or margarine over the popcorn; remove the chili peppers prior to pouring.

5. Distribute the seasonings over the popcorn evenly by tossing the kernels with two large spoons.
