Use A Gelfueled Fondue Pot

Fondue is the ultimate party food. There's nothing more fun than getting friends together for a good old-fashioned fondue party. And thanks to modern technology, fondue is even better than you may remember it. Gel-fueled fondue sets are the ultimate in style and durability, since the gel fuel burns more efficiently and you don't have to spend half the party worrying about your fondue getting cold.

Instructions

1. Set up your pot. Each pot is a little different, so follow the instructions that came with yours. Most gel-fueled fondue pots come with a heating element, a stand, a bowl and a set of fondue forks. There may be additional accessories depending on the model you choose.

2. Fill the heating element with gel fuel. Fill the basin three-quarters full of gel fuel and place it underneath the fondue dish. If the heating element comes with a top piece, you should place this on top of your fuel before igniting it.

3. Light a match and touch the flame to the gel fuel. It should quickly ignite and stay lit until the fuel burns out.

4. Adjust the heat as needed and fondue as usual.
