Make Orange Jello Dreamsicle Salad

Vanilla ice cream combines with orange sherbert in a traditional dreamsicle.

The sound of the ice cream truck brings back memories of hot summer days and dreamsicle ice cream pops. Also known as a creamsicle or a 50-50 bar, this delicious blend of orange sherbert on the outside and vanilla ice cream on the inside may not be that easy to find anymore. You can recreate the same flavors using orange Jell-O and vanilla instant pudding.

Instructions

1. Combine the pudding mix, Jell-O mix and water in a large bowl. Stir the mixture until the pudding and Jell-O dissolve and the mixture starts to thicken.

2. Stir in 3/4 of the can of mandarin oranges and their juice. Again, stir until completely combined.

3. Spoon the Cool Whip into the center of the bowl and gently fold it in until you can't see it anymore.

4. Chill it in the refrigerator for two hours or until the salad fully sets.

5. Garnish the dreamsicle salad with the reserved mandarin oranges.
