Prepare High Protein Egg Whites

Egg whites are a great source of protein.

Egg whites contain on average 6g of protein and 0g of fat. Egg whites are a common source of protein for weight lifters and body builders. And, unlike the yolk, the egg whites contain no cholesterol. Eggs are a cost-efficient source of protein; the protein gained from ingesting a dozen eggs is substantially cheaper than an equivalent amount from chicken or red meat. Eating egg whites raw is inadvisable as it can lead to a biotin deficiency.

Instructions

1. Grab the egg firmly in your hand and lightly tap it on the side of the bowl. All you want to do is crack the shell of the egg, you do not want it spilling into the bowl.

2. Pry apart the two halves of the shell with your fingers. Keep the egg yolk in one half of the shell. Do this while keeping the egg over the bowl.

3. Gently poor the egg yolk from one half of the shell to the other. As you pour the yolk from one half of the shell to another, the egg white will drip down into the bowl. Repeat this process several times until only the egg yolk is remaining in the shell. Discard the yolk. Repeat this process for as many egg whites as you would like.

4. Pour the separated egg whites from the bowl into the Tupperware container.

5. Pour the chopped onions, salt-free seasoning and chopped green peppers into the Tupperware, then mix them with a fork.

6. Place the Tupperware container into your microwave then cook it for three minutes.

7. Remove it from the microwave and let it cool. You now have a nutritious quiche you can take with you on the go.
