Colorado is home to a number of wine clubs throughout the state, both in small cities and towns and places like Denver, Boulder and Colorado Springs. Many Colorado wine clubs focus on locally made wine and beer, and some are run by Colorado wineries and wine-making consultants.
Grape Expectations
In Denver, wine lovers can join Grape Expectations for monthly meetings and wine tastings, often at venues such as local galleries and museums in addition to members' homes. Grape Expectations is laid-back and casual and welcomes new members any time.
American Wine Society
The American Wine Society also has a formal group in Denver. Members receive the American Wine Society Quarterly Journal, as well as "technical manuals, bulletins, videos, vintage charts" and access to the Wine Judge Certification Program, National Tasting Project and local and national winemaking competitions. The AWS meets monthly for tastings and educational lectures and workshops.
Savor Each Glass
Savor Each Glass promotes wine in the North Fork Valley area, between Aspen and Grand Junction. It offers regular wine tastings and tours of local vineyards. Savor Each Glass also sponsors wine dinners and competitions, as well as group and private wine tastings and wine-making lessons.
Winter Park Wineaux
The Winter Park Wineaux meets in Winter Park several times a year and has four levels of memberships. All include a minimum of four bottles of wine per year from Winter Park Winery.
The Wine Club
The Wine Club, located in Greenwood Village, offers several different memberships, all with six reds and six whites a year. Members can choose from exclusively local selections, general American selections or imports among many others. The Wine Club also offers on-site tastings and events for members.
Boulder Wine Market
The Boulder Wine Market offers five club levels, all of which include a bottle of wine a month chosen by the Market's staff. The Market also offers monthly specials and advance notice of incoming wines to members, as well as tastings and a monthly newsletter.
