Diy Cracker Crushers

Crushed crakers can be used to make an English style burger.


Crush crackers in lieu of bread crumbs for a low-cost alternative and put a spin on traditional recipes. Grill up English-style burgers, fry up cracker-crusted chicken or use crushed crackers as a stuffing for baked mushrooms and zucchini. No matter what the recipe, substituting cracker crumbs can yield tasty, savory home-cooked meals. Just about any recipe that calls for bread crumbs can be made with cracker crumbs, to cook a zesty, more hearty meal with flavor.


Instructions


1. Place four to five crackers in a plastic zipper bag; do not overfill, as the bag will burst.


2. Squeeze excess air out of the bag and seal it.


3. Lay the bag on a flat surface. Roll a rolling pin over the crackers in one smooth motion, back and forth until it's crushed to desired grain size. The bag may fill with air while crushing the crackers. If this happens, open the bag, release excess air and then continue to crush the crackers. Repeat until you have enough cracker crumbs for the recipe.
