French Restaurants In Virginia Beach On Hampton Roads

Chez Max Restaurant


Chez Max is a French restaurant located in Richmond, Virginia, a one-hour drive from the heart of Hampton Roads. The restaurant is owned by Chef Alain Lecompte and his wife Annie Lecompte. After working since he was 15 years old in Paris and Monte Carlo, Alain Lecompte earned the distinguished title of Master Chef of France and moved with his family to Virginia in the late 1990s, opening Chez Max. Le Yaca Restaurant Francais


Located about a half hour drive from Hampton Roads is Le Yaca Restaurant Francais in Williamsburg, Virginia. Le Yaca was first created by owner Daniele Bourderau and her husband Gerard Gormier in a tiny village in the French Alps. The couple later opened a second restaurant in Saint-Tropez, eventually coming to the United States and opening a third location in Williamsburg in 1980. The menu is contemporary French cuisine with the finest quality seasonal ingredients. The restaurant offers an especially popular dessert menu, handcrafted by a French pastry chef.


Bistro Bobbett


Located a one-hour drive from Hampton Roads in Richmond, Virginia, is the French restaurant Bistro Bobbett. An authentic French bistro, the Bobbett's menu offers classic provencal dishes. The Bistro Bobbett serves both lunch and dinner and offers a wide variety of options including full meals as well as lighter fare.
