Make Honey Garlic Sauce

Honey garlic sauce is pretty much what the name implies: a sauce that tastes primarily like honey and garlic. Popular in Canada and throughout the Northern U.S., honey garlic sauce is most commonly found coating chicken wings. A perfect choice for people who don't like "hot" or a tasty change of pace for those who simply enjoy the occasional deviation from the norm, this sauce is easy to make and takes less than 30 minutes.

Instructions

1. Put the butter in a small saucepan and place over medium heat. When the butter has melted, add the garlic and cook, stirring constantly for approximately two minutes.

2. Add honey, chicken broth, water, soy sauce and brown sugar. Stir until well blended.

3. Bring the mixture to a boil and reduce heat. Allow the mixture to simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.

4. Place the cornstarch in a small bowl and add 1 tbsp. of water. Beat with a fork until no lumps remain. Adjust the amount of water, if necessary, to completely dissolve the cornstarch.

5. Whisk the cornstarch gradually into the sauce. Bring the sauce to a boil, stirring constantly for 5 to 10 minutes or until sauce is thickened.

6. Brush the finished sauce over chicken wings, meatballs or ribs; use it as a dip for chicken nuggets, or pour it over hot rice for a side dish.
