2. Get a big basket as the foundation for your gift--one that's big enough to accommodate a bottle or two of your chosen wine, plus at least a few other gifts and trinkets.
3. Choose a cheese for your wine basket that directly complements your wine choice. For pairing your cheese, soft, creamy cheeses pair well with white wines, while for sweeter wines, choose saltier cheeses. The more full-bodied the wine, however, the "stinkier" the cheese to pair with it.
4. Complement your wine and cheese with other delectable extras such as caviars, jars of jelly or pate, deluxe crackers or cookies, sardines, dried figs or fruits, olives and spreads, handmade truffles and more.
