Instructions

Make Cuban Style Pork Chops

1. Place the pork chops in a colander and run water over them to rinse. Lay the drained pork chops flat on a cutting board or large, flat surface. Poke holes in both sides of each pork chop with a fork. This will infuse the flavor into the pork chops.

2. Sprinkle salt, pepper and about 1 teaspoon of Sazon on each pork chop and thoroughly spread it to ensure that all parts of the pork chops are equally seasoned. Flip the pork chops over and repeat this step for the second side.

3. Pour the breadcrumbs into a flat dish. One by one lay each pork chop in the breadcrumbs. Be sure to adequately bread both sides of each pork chop.

4. Fill a large frying pan about 3/4ths of the way with oil and heat to a gentle boil over medium heat. Carefully place the pork chops in the hot oil. Cook both sides evenly by flipping the chops. Remove them from the oil when they are crispy and medium brown in color.

5. Place the pork chops on a paper towel lined dish to drain the excess oil. You are all done! Serve the pork chops immediately for best results. Yellow or Spanish rice makes a lovely side dish.
