Low fat burgers are made of ground turkey or lean ground beef.
Hamburgers are an American staple, thanks in part to fast food restaurants and backyard grills. Burger lovers are always looking for new ways to enjoy this satisfying food. Toppings like cheese and bacon are traditional add-ons, but for an unexpected flavor, add cheese to the middle of the burger. This technique is easy to master and only requires willing hands and fresh ingredients.
Instructions
1. Preheat the grill or a non stick skillet. You may wish to broil your burgers. In this case, turn the oven on the broil setting.
2. Unwrap the ground beef and place it in a large glass bowl. Pour in one envelope of beef onion soup mix. Crack one egg into the bowl,
tossing the shells.
3. Mix the ingredients together with your hands. Blend the hamburger meat well with the soup mix and egg.
4. Shape the meat into eight evenly sized small patties. Place the first four patties on a large serving platter.
5. Spoon 2 tbsp. of grated cheese on top of each burger. Press the second set of four burgers down on top of the first. Pinch the sides of the burgers together, sealing in the cheese.
6. Cook your burgers until they have reached the level of doneness you prefer. The cheese will be melted and gooey.
