Serve & Eat Brie Cheese

Look at the inside of the cheese to tell if it is ripe-it should be slightly yellowish.


Brie, from the Seine-et-Marne region of France, is often the ubiquitous cheese at any gathering. Its silky rich texture, edible rind and ability to accompany almost any condiment make it a hit at parties. With so many options of serve brie, it seems daunting to choose give it to your guests. However, brie is very easy to work with and can help you create a quick appetizer in a pinch.


Instructions


1. Choose your brie in accordance with its age-older brie will be stronger and have a crumblier texture, while young brie is smoother and milder.


2. Choose whether you want to serve a savory appetizer or a sweet one. Brie is versatile and adapts to either sauces or fruit.


3. Serve the brie simply on a wooden board with a butter knife, surrounded by fruit, a variety of crackers and a small dish of chutney or jelly.


4. Take a small slice of brie, place it on a cracker and put a small amount of chutney or jelly on the top. Follow with a piece of fruit if eating brie with jelly.
