Make Hearty Superbowl Sunday Appetizers

Serve hearty appetizers at your Superbowl party

Super Bowl Sunday has become about so much more than just football. While the big game is still the main attraction, the food served at a Super Bowl party runs a close second. Chips, dips, pretzels and crackers no longer make the cut. Heartier appetizers are the trend, especially if party guests are consuming alcohol at an early hour. Robust hors d'oevres take the place of a meal; or enjoy them throughout the day.

Instructions

Barbecue Beef Cups

1. Cook 3/4 lb. of ground beef, drain it thoroughly, and stir in the barbecue sauce, chopped onion and brown sugar.

2. Grease a cupcake pan and fill each partition with a biscuit.

3. Spoon the beef mixture into the biscuits, top them with American cheese, and bake them at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 to 12 minutes.

Slider Hamburgers

4. Brown 2 lbs. of ground beef and drain it.

5. Add in onion soup mix, eggs, bread crumbs and water. Mix the mixture thoroughly and spread it onto a jellyroll pan.

6. Bake the mixture at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes, and serve it on sliced rolls.

Crescent-Wrapped Hot Dogs

7. Wrap the hot dogs in the crescent rolls.

8. Place the hot dogs a few inches apart on a cookie sheet.

9. Bake them at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
