Make A Chocolate Frozen Banana

If you have a taste for ice cream but want to eat healthy, a frozen banana may be just what you're looking for. They are easy on the waistline and budget and a snap to make. If you've never had one of these before, be prepared to get addicted.

Instructions

1. Peel the bananas and cut them in half crosswise. Lay them onto a cookie sheet.

2. Place a wooden Popsicle stick into the flat end of the banana half. Push it into the banana until it is at least halfway inside.

3. Put the bananas on the cookie sheet into the freezer and freeze them for approximately three hours. Each refrigerator freezer may be different as to how long it takes to freeze the bananas.

4. Boil water in a pot. Melt chocolate in a separate pot placed over the boiling water. This prevents the chocolate from burning and scorching the bottom of your pot. Stir the chocolate continually.

5. Twirl the banana in the melted chocolate and spread it as evenly as possible over the frozen banana with a spatula, coating it completely.

6. Roll the bananas in your choice of crushed nuts, sprinkles or rice cereal immediately while the chocolate is still wet.

7. Eat your banana immediately or let the chocolate dry, then wrap the banana in foil or plastic wrap to store in the freezer.
