Set Up A Focuspro Th5000 Thermostat

The FocusPro TH5000 thermostat is a device created by the Honeywell company, to give you total control over the heating and cooling system installed in your home. This device, once properly installed, can be used to set the temperature in your home, and program your system to operate while you are away or asleep. By completing the set-up process, you will be able to achieve maximum efficiency from your heating and cooling system.

Instructions

1. Press and hold the Up and Down buttons on the control panel of the thermostat, until the display changes from the current temperature, to a screen showing two numbers. Release the buttons. You are now in the set-up menu for the device. The number on the left signifies the system mode you are in, and the number on the right corresponds to the setting for this mode.

2. Press the Up and Down buttons to change the settings on each menu. The first menu -- 1 will determine the type of heating and cooling system you are using. The number 0 corresponds to a one heater/one air conditioning system. The number 2 is a one heat system. While 4 is used just for an air conditioner. Press the Next button until the menu number reads 3.

3. Press Up and Down to choose between a gas or oil powered furnace which will appear as 0 or an electric furnace which will appear as 1. Press the Next button again, to save this setting. Keep pressing it until the menu reads 14 -- which will allow you to change the unit that temperature will be measured in, on the display.

4. Press Up and Down to choose Fahrenheit 0 or Celsius 1 -- to be displayed on the screen. Press the Menu button to save your settings and return to normal operation.

Tips Warnings

There are other menu options that you can set during the setup process. These settings are more technical and deal with the efficiency and heating and cooling cycles of your climate control system. These settings should not be changed unless you are knowledgeable about heating and cooling systems. Consult the installer of your system and the users guide to change these settings.
