Put Extra Butter On Popcorn

Buttery popcorn makes a delicious snack.

Whether you are preparing to watch a movie or are simply in the mood for a tasty snack, popcorn may be just the snack you are looking for. Popcorn has been an American favorite since the 1800s. Plain popcorn is a naturally low-calorie food that can be quickly transformed into a buttery indulgence. Purchase a microwavable bag or a jar of kernels at your local grocery store, and you are merely steps away from enjoying a timeless treat.

Instructions

1. Pop your popcorn in the microwave or on the stove top according to the manufacturer's directions.

2. Melt one or two tablespoons of butter per cup of popcorn. Do this by placing the butter in a dish and microwaving it or by melting it in a saucepan over low heat on the stove.

3. Pour the freshly popped popcorn into a large bowl and evenly add the melted butter. Add a pinch or two of salt if desired.

4. Mix the butter and salt into the popcorn to coat evenly.
