Make Creamy Country Sausage Gravy

Making creamy country sausage gravy can be done with some basic kitchen ingredients. Country sausage gravy allows you to mix the drippings from ground pork with bacon grease to add a tasty seasoning to your food. Creamy country sausage gravy can be used over a variety of foods, such as biscuits, potatoes or meat. You can make your own creamy country sausage gravy in about 30 minutes.

Instructions

1. Cook 1 lb. of ground pork sausage in a large frying pan on medium-high heat until the sausage is browned. Remove the sausage from the frying pan, leaving the drippings in the pan.

2. Add 3 tbsp. of bacon grease to the pork sausage with 1/4 cup of flour, and mix the ingredients together over medium heat until the gravy is a consistent golden brown.

3. Mix 3 cups of milk into the gravy until it is consistently smooth. Let the gravy heat up until it begins to bubble. Add the sausage to the gravy, and add salt and pepper to taste.

4. Stir the gravy, and reduce the heat to low. Let the gravy simmer on low for about 15 minutes.
