Air bubbles create the holes in Swiss cheese.
Swiss cheese is one of the more iconic types, with its distinctive full-of-holes appearance. This has led to Swiss cheese becoming the stereotype for cheese in many depictions such as cartoons. You can make paper look like a slice of Swiss cheese by punching and cutting holes in it at various points around the sheet. This can be useful when constructing art projects on Switzerland or creating another image that needs a symbol for cheese.
Instructions
1. Cut a sheet of yellow paper into smaller rectangular pieces. If your paper is not yellow, color it with crayons or paint.
2. Punch holes in the paper using a hole punch. Do some punching on the edges as well to give the appearance of a slice of cheese.
3. Make larger holes in the paper by creasing it and cutting semicircles in the crease with scissors. Unfold the crease and flatten the paper. You now have holes of different sizes similar to those in Swiss cheese.
