Different Types of Cereals
Some mornings you wake up and just do not want eggs for breakfast. On the other hand, maybe you are out of eggs and do not feel like going to the grocery store. Not to worry, as a delicious hot or cold meal is still available for you. There are plenty of ideas for a breakfast without eggs.
Cold Cereal
Cold cereal is a common breakfast food. Pour a bowl of your favorite cereal and then add cold milk for a quick and convenient way to start off the day. You can use regular milk or soy milk for eating cereal.
Hot Cereal
A bowl of hot oatmeal is a delicious and nutritious way to start your morning. Oatmeal goes well with many different ingredients, such as butter, sugar, milk and fruit or nuts. Grits and Cream of Wheat are also hot cereals.
Toast
Some people like a light breakfast in the morning, maybe nothing more than a slice or two of buttered toast. For a little extra flavor, try adding a spoonful of jam, jelly or preserves to your toast.
Fruit
One idea for a breakfast without eggs is fruit. Some people are satisfied with eating an orange, apple or banana in the mornings. Cut up different fruits for a delicious meal of mixed fruits.
Yogurt
Yogurt, with its smooth texture and pudding-like consistency, goes well as a standalone breakfast or eaten with other breakfast foods. Top your yogurt with granola, dry cereal of your choice or fruit for added taste.
Muffins
Dry muffin mixes come in a variety of flavors, such as strawberry, blueberry and even orange-berry. Adding fresh eggs is not required for many dry muffin mixes--you just need to add milk. Follow the instructions on the back of the package and pour into greased muffin tins. Bake in your oven for the recommended time. Let them cool slightly before eating.
Canned Biscuits
One way to make a delicious breakfast that does not require any eggs is sausage or bacon biscuits. Fry up your sausage patties or strips of bacon until done. While the meat is cooking, open a tube of canned biscuits and place the individual biscuits on a flat baking sheet. Bake according to the instructions on the can until they are done cooking. Split open the biscuits and place the sausage patties or pieces of bacon on them. You can also leave off the meat and just eat buttered biscuits.
