Decorate A Home For An Indoor Bbq

Display your food just as you would in an outdoor BBQ.

Whether your plans have been ruined by rainy weather or you feel like hosting a winter BBQ, converting your home into a backyard barbecue has never been easier. With the exception of the grass and the bugs, you'll find decorating your home for an indoor BBQ exciting and fun.

Instructions

1. Purchase decorations in the theme of your indoor BBQ. Whether your theme is a Hawaiian luau or a 4th of July barbecue, buy decorations just as you would for a backyard barbecue. Use streamers, banners and lawn decorations to make each room of your home feel like an outdoor BBQ without the outdoors.

2. Place tiki torches without a flame around your home. You can use unlit candles, or smaller decorative tiki torches to make your guests feel as though they're outside, only more comfortable.

3. Use paper plates, napkins and plasticware just as you would for an outdoor BBQ. In addition to limiting the dishes you have to wash, using disposable dishes gives your guests an authentic outdoor BBQ feel.

4. Set up a buffet table so your guests can graze or eat when they're ready. Just because the party is indoors doesn't mean that you have to serve everyone like a perfect host or hostess. Lay the food out the same way you would in your backyard, and don't forget to get a tablecloth that fits the theme of your indoor BBQ.

5. Exchange your dining and living room furniture for lawn furniture. Move your sofa, dinner table and coffee table to the basement or attic, and give your indoor BBQ an outdoor feel by allowing your guests to sit on lawn furniture as though they were outside.
